Many of the funds available through FundersClub make their investments in startups through convertible notes. These convertible notes are debt instruments that accrue interest, and typically at a relatively low interest rate. These relatively small increases in value are due to the interest accrued on your portion of the convertible note. Visit our education center to learn more about convertible notes. A small increase in value of a fund should not be interpreted as a judgment that the business plan of the startup is succeeding or failing.
